Australian sailors win Gold and Silver medals on final day
Australian sailors have won two medals on the final day of the ISAF Sailing World Cup in Miami, Florida, with Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page claiming Gold in the 470 class and Olivia Price, Nina Curtis and Lucinda Whitty picking up Silver in the Women’s Match Racing.

Gold medal for Fitzgibbon and Tesch at Sailing World Cup
Paralympic sailors Daniel Fitzgibbon and Liesl Tesch have picked up Australia’s first medal at the ISAF Sailing World Cup round in Miami, Florida, winning Gold in the Skud 18 class.
The pair started the day tied on points at the front of the fleet with the 2012 World Champions from Great Britain with two races left to run on Miami’s Biscayne Bay.

Local sailors become national champions
A local sailor and his eight-year-old crew have taken the title of Australia’s top Heron sailors after winning the 53rd Heron National Championships last week.
Greg Harris, 40, and Kai Johnston, from Narrabeen Lakes Sailing Club, battled against 61 boats from all over the country to win the 10-day regatta, held at Lake Macquarie last week.

Heron Nationals 2012 at LMYC
Congratulations goes to Greg Harris and Kai Johnston on winning the Heron Nationals. Fantastic racing to watch throughout the fleet as there were battles up the front and all the way to the back end! On Boxing Day 2011, I was lucky enough to compete in my first Sydney to Hobart alongside my old man, Clyde ‘Camel’ Freeman (17 Hobarts). Garde Wins Name Sake Event
