Phil heads to Europe for METS

In November each year METS (Marine Equipment Trade Show) is held in Amsterdam.   Each year the team at DeckHardware sends a representative to the show to catch up with our existing suppliers and meet up with potential suppliers.  This year it is Phil Yeomans turn to head to Europe and see everyone.

METS goes for three days 15^th - 17^th of November when you attempt to walk around the 52,000 sq m show.  METS, the world's largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry, is organised by Amsterdam RAI in association with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA).

The show's target groups are yacht builders, naval architects, repair yards, distributors, dealers, wholesalers, captains, marina operators and equipment manufacturers from around the world. The SuperYacht Pavilion is the central platform for the worldwide super yacht industry and a 'show within a show' at METS

Phil heads off on Sunday to Europe where he will also visit the Allen Sailboat Performance Hardware factory and Liros Rope Factory.  Phil will have the opportunity to view the manufacture process of each factory and spend time with each company to learn more about their product and future strategies.

This factory is 10.000 square meters and has been layed out using the most modern flow systems which ensure maximum efficiency allowing LIROS Rope to maintain its competitive position in the world of rope manufacturing. Liros in conjunction with DeckHardware is the Official Rope Supplier to the Australian Sailing Team.

In between visiting the Allen and Liros Rope factories Phil will be heading to METS where he will also be seeing DeckHardware suppliers Blue Performance, Forespar, Unimer, PROtect Tapes, JDC and Schaefer Marine.   Phil already has many appointments for METS however if you are attending and would like to meet up please contact him phil@deckhardware.com.au to make a time.
