Sanctuary Cove 2010

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is over for another year.   DeckHardware was once again in the nice big tent with our stand showing off all our brands.   Phil and Mel headed up the stand with our brand new Billy Bung Suppliers James and Donna.

Billy Bung was found by Mel recently at the Auckland International Boat Show.  The Silly Billy Safety Bung self seals and self drains.  You never take it out of the boat so you never lose it, and if you forget to tighten it up it will seal itself.  The Silly Billy Safety Bung is the only self sealing self draining safety bung in the world (patent pending).

The other brand new item we were showing at the show was the TruPlug by Forespar.  TruPlug is a temporary or emergency plug for your boat where water would enter a circular, oval, or irregular hole caused by maintenance failure or hull breach due to impact. A 2” hole in your boat, only 1 foot below the waterline would fill a 55 gallon drum in 40 seconds. Bilge pumps can not keep up. You must stop the water.

This year our ManShip Marine suppliers also attended the show.  Man Ship has always done well for us at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat show with this year being no exception.

Throughout the show we had visitors from around the country, Darwin, Mandurah, Melbourne and from overseas.   Thursday and Friday on the stand there were times where we could not fit more people into our space.  This was fantastic to see after the previous year where we had a day cancelled due to weather conditions.
