Sydney International Boat Show over for another year

Another year over for the DeckHardware team at the Sydney International Boat Show.   This year we went for our biggest stand ever and we have been very happy about it.  There were times on Saturday when all eight of us were busy and the stand was full!

A huge thanks to James Gough and Rhys Llewellyn who were on the stand for some very long hours.  Rhys somehow managed to do all day every day which is a big effort and no doubt has resulted in some very tired feet.  Such a big effort by these two as they also helped us setup and packup which is a lot of hard work and takes muscle!   Friday night we were joined by young Georgia Llewellyn who assisted us all weekend and took photos of the Boat Building Competition.   She put us all to shame on Saturday morning out selling most of us and putting through several sales before her Dad had even done one!   Yes she can live on this for a while.

On the stand we had Georgia's Heron showing off not only the DeckHardware product but our skills as well.  The Heron has been a winter project that we have worked on for the new season.  Lots of sanding, painting and Varnish involved.  Even a little bit of wood work! Who knew this was going to create such a reaction!   So many came to tell us about their Heron Days and to ask about the boat.   We are certainly glad we were able to support the Heron Association who's Nationals this year we will be sponsoring.   Even little Harry Williams jumped in to the Heron to show age is no barrier and how you should get around a boat with ease when he dropped in on Sunday morning with his Mum as Dad was doing the Southport Race.

Our new brands were recieved very well and even we were surprised at the fantastic reaction we got.   If you did not get a chance to see us this year make sure you put it in your Calendar to drop by the DeckHardware stand next year at the Sydney International Boat Show!
