What a busy 2010 for DeckHardware

As 2010 comes to an end we could not be busier here at DeckHardware.   Even though it is a short week the phone and fax keep on going.  We also are spending time trying to get around to the Regatta’s as much as possible.  Along with keeping an eye on those Offshore results of course.

This month was busy adding three new brands - PROtect Tapes, JDC Instruments and Unimer Marine.   The month of January looks like being even busier if all goes as planned.   Melissa is heading off to Europe once more to follow up on discussions already in place with several companies from METS 2010.   Let’s hope everything goes to plan as this is all very exciting for DeckHardware.   Melissa will be attending the London and Dusseldorf Boat Shows.   Have a look at their websites as they are very impressive.  In particular the Dusseldorf show which is well known as being one of the best in the world.   Our suppliers have been recommending we visit them so 2011 is the year.

The Moth Worlds will also be a feature for us as many members of the Australian Sailing Team and friends will be competing.  We can not wait to go and view the technology and setups this fleet is so well known for.  As well as watching the close racing from these competitive sailors.

Follow Phil’s road trips on our facebook page or our website news page.  Since June this year Phil has driven over 20,000km and flown to destinations all around Australia.  We will as always be displaying at the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney Boat Shows.  We are looking at adding Mandurah Boat Show to this list as well.

In 2011 it will be Phil’s turn to visit METS.  He is looking forward to this as he will also get the chance to visit Liros Ropes brand new facilities.   This will be a fantastic opportunity to play and learn more about all the new technologies in fibres.  The introduction of SK90 and stronger covers has made a big difference to what is available for Boat Owners.   The General Lee competing in Western Australia was one of our first Customers to use some of the new technology ropes.  With the work load they put their rope through we are very happy to hear that they like what they have received.

2011 looks like keeping DeckHardware on the run.   We can not wait!
