Australian Coastguard had many issues with shocks in the towing lines and because of the shocks the lines were close to impossible to untie.
All these problems have been completely eliminated after they installed Bungy mooring line snubbers on their towing lines.
Australian Coastguard uses 12 Bungy snubbers on their Ø20 mm 70 metre long Dyneema lines without getting any shocks in their towing lines.
To mount snubbers on a Dyneema line of that diameter is similar to mounting snubbers on a steel wire.
If you mount 6 Bungy mooring line snubbers on the most non flexible line - e.g. a Ø20 mm Dyneema line, the Dyneema line will become more flexible than the most flexible mooring line on the market, regardless of what it is made of and the length of the line ☺️
