DeckHardware Celebrates 20 Years of Family Ownership at RPAYC Sail Expo

DeckHardware will celebrate 20 years of family ownership at this year's RPAYC Sail Expo, marking two decades of growth, trusted supplier partnerships, and support for sailors across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific.

The milestone reflects a journey that began in Late 2006 when Robyn, Phil and Melissa Yeomans purchased DeckHardware from long-time owner Carl Crafoord. Robyn had worked alongside Carl for well over a decade, while Melissa had also been part of the business before joining full time in the lead up to the acquisition.

"When we took over DeckHardware, we represented just four brands: LIROS Ropes, Blue Performance, Man Ship Marine and Forespar Marine," said Melissa Yeomans. "Twenty years later, we're proud to still distribute all four while continuing to build a portfolio of leading marine brands that support sailors at every level."

Visitors to the DeckHardware stand at Sail Expo will have the opportunity to explore a range of new and innovative products from some of the world's most respected marine hardware manufacturers. 

The Sail Expo stand will bring together this milestone story with product displays, giving visitors the chance to see both DeckHardware's long standing supplier relationships and the latest developments from its growing brand portfolio.

Allen Updated Dynamic Block Range

Allen Brothers continues to expand its performance sailing offering with its updated range of 40mm Dynamic Blocks. Manufactured from high strength, lightweight glass loaded nylon and featuring dynamic bearings, the blocks deliver smooth performance for both keelboats and dinghies. 

Allen's 60mm High Roller Blocks are also attracting attention for its exceptional performance in high load, high-speed sailing applications. With additional sizes planned for release, sailors can expect further developments from the range in the near future. 

Barton Develops Next Generation Genoa Cars

Barton Marine has recently updated its popular Genoa Cars for both 25mm and 32mm T-Track systems. The new Genoa Cars are already proving popular and will be on display at the Sail Expo. 

Earlier this year, Melissa visited Barton's UK manufacturing facility to gain first hand insight into the company's latest developments and commitment to product innovation. The updated designs continue Barton's reputation for practical, reliable deck hardware solutions for cruising and racing sailors alike. 

LIROS Continues to Deliver Performance and Versatility

LIROS Ropes remains one of DeckHardware's longest standing partner brands and has been part of the business since before the company was acquired in 2006. Robyn first met Sven from LIROS in person in 1998, while Melissa has visited the factory multiple times and Phil has also visited to gain further product insight.

Among the products on display will be the popular LIROS ILCA Mainsheet and Racer Hybrid rope range. Racer Hybrid has become a versatile solution used across a wide range of sailing disciplines, from small performance dinghies through to larger yachts.

Walder Boom Brake Expertise Available Through Local Stockists

DeckHardware will also highlight the Walder Boom Brake, a solution designed to improve safety and control during downwind sailing.
