The utilization of Dyneema ropes on a boat, known for its high stiffness and strength as well as its outstanding smoothness, led to the creation of innovative sailing products that enhances these characteristics.
First the fastenings called “soft-links”: Dyneema loops and snap-loops that replace shackles, snap-shackles and other metal connections.
Then the friction rings, now produced in different versions and many sizes that utilise the excellent sliding of Dyneema lines, and are increasingly replacing pulleys, sheaves and blocks for a wider range of maneuvers.
The advantages of this new equipment are high resistance, increased lightness, a reduction in size and significant cost savings.
