Y Valve vs Dual Drain

The Difference Between Y-Valves and Dual Drain Valves

Y-Valve - Y-valves have 3 modes: Off, A-B connected, and B-C connected. They can be used to divert water between a head system, a holding tank, and fresh water or to send raw water from a single input to two separate outputs.

Dual Drain - Dual Drain valves have 2 modes: A-B-C connected, and off. They can be used to provide raw water to multiple systems, or discharge multiple systems with a single drain.

Optional Valve Modifiers Codes: Special valve modifications indicated at the end of the part number:
N - Specifies an NPSM straight threaded base for seacock valves, allowing the valve to be installed on a standard thru hull.
No thru hull or handle plug will be included on a valve with this option.
B - Specifies a BSP threaded base. (1” – 2”) No thru-hull or handle plug is provided.
C - Specifies a chromed mushroom head buttress thread thru-hull.
L - The top elbow needs to face left. (From the point of view looking at the top of the valve, with the handle facing 'down'.
R - The top elbow needs to face right.
E - Specifies the valve is to be used with an ROV electric motor. (OEM only)
V - Specifies an anti-venturi style thru hull to be paired with the valve. Does not include thru-hull plug.
K - Specifies a handle lock-off plate to satisfy USCG requirements, usable with standard padlocks. (Only available on 1" & 2" sizes)
Z - Specifies a Large Speed Scoop. (Only available on 1-1/2” & 2” valve sizes)

Choosing what you require can be complicated due to the many options available.  Forespar have some great Catalogues and Tech sheets to help make the process easier.
