The Barton Marine Boomstrut fitting with a maintenance-free design that eliminates friction and sliding parts and flexible fibreglass rods to support the boom.
Patented flexing spring provides fast response and a constant force for vang efficiency.
Barton Marine's Boomstrut is designed for sailboats, are a lightweight, low profile design that features two flexible coated fibreglass rods which provide the force to support the boom.
Pulling the boom down with a conventional kicker causes the Boomstrut to flex upwards; releasing straightens the rods, thereby lifting and supporting the boom.
The Boomstrut's maintenance-free durable design eliminates friction and sliding parts.
Improved performance through less weight and windage onboard your boat.
Easy Installation thanks to there being no need to replace your existing hardware – the Boomstrut mounts independently inside the existing kicking strap tackle.
The Boomstrut is supplied with simple to follow fitting instructions, and the Mast Fitting can use existing luff groove. The Boomstrut’s boom bracket is contoured to fit both round and flat boom profiles.
With no extra parts or drilling required and the ability to simply tie off at the mast to secure it in place, negating the need for drilling. At the top of the rods, a fully adjustable webbing cradle in the dinghy version supports the boom and as the cradle is not directly attached to the boom, it does not restrict the boom from rolling around its central axis to follow the sail when reefing.
The key benefits of the Barton Marine Boomstrut are:
• No more topping lift hassles
• No adjustments and no hang-ups
• Never again will your boom fall accidentally
Available in: Silver anodising with white rods, or Black anodising with black rods
All parts are from high-grade stainless steel and Spectro grey anodised aluminium for good looks and durability.
