AutoRatchet Blocks - Allen were pioneers in the development of the first AutoRatchet blocks more than 30 years ago.
The clever internal mechanism is designed to activate when the block is under load - as every sailor knows this can make all the difference on a long spinnaker reach or upwind beat. Years of constant development with the world's top sailors has made the AutoRatchet one of the most reliable and effective on the market. Allen ratchet blocks are engineered with ball bearing technology and advanced engineering polymers for longevity and performance.
Switchable Ratchet Blocks - These blocks have a ratchet mechanism that can easily be switched on or off even under load and the swivel head can be locked in a fixed position. Allen sheave technology gives you grip under load and easy release when the load is decreased. The cheek block allows port or starboard deck mounting.
The Wave Ratchet, offers between 20 to 40%* more grip without adding any additional wear to the rope. The Wave Ratchet sheave has an offset V style grip, made from a hard-wearing recycled plastic nylon, which does not have sharp edges that will eat into the rope. Instead, by adjusting the V formation in the sheave to be slightly offset, the ratchet now grips the rope at additional points around the sheave, resulting in more grip.
Barton Marine The new Barton Ratchet Block is designed to be used on mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies and keelboats, and for small yachts up to 30 feet.
