Who is Lilly Smith?

My name is Lilly Smith, I'm 16 and I am a member of Great Lakes Sailing Club. I sail the Laser (4.7 or Radial) predominately with a bit of crewing on various Catamarans such as Taipan 4.9s and Nacra 5.8s.

I'm always looking to expand my knowledge and sailing ability on different classes of boats to broaden my skill and experience in Sailing. My first time out on a boat was with my Dad on a Hobie 16 when I was 11, since then I've never looked back. 

I have such a supportive family, club and community who are always encouraging me and giving me advice that has driven me to do the best I can.

I wish to become a better sportsperson on and off the water, not only to improve my sailing and to succeed in the sport but to encourage others to get involved and develop a passion for it, just as I have. Thank you DeckHardware!
