LIROS has bio-based Dyneema!

LIROS introduces bio-based Dyneema in the area of technical high-tenacity fibres

– an ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) certified product innovation by DSM, the exclusive producer of the high-tenacity Dyneema!

An intern current lifecycle assessment study by DSM shows, the production of bio-based Dyneema causes in comparison to his conventional counterpart a significant reduction of the carbon dioxide emissions, but reaches herewith identical properties and technical values! The difference to conventional HMPE is even bigger.

Bio-based Dyneema is primaly produced with residues of the pulp- and wood industry. The use of Ethylen made of sustainable and renewable raw materials, instead of petrochemical materials reduces fossil fuel consumption and minimizes the ecological footprint in the further production chain.

Environmental protection and Sustainability are an important part of the LIROS company philosophy with certified environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001.

The electricity supply of the top modern location of LIROS in Berg with it's entire machinery is provided on all sunny days completely CO2-free with an own photovoltaic system on the roof.

The heating of the entire production site Berg is provided by the waste heat from the neighbouring biogas plant completely CO2-neutral with renewable raw materials from the region.

For operational necessary rides in the region our e-car comes to use, which is charged for 100% regenerative on sunny days.
